The price of gold has risen substantially over the past few years and buying a piece of solid gold is prohibitive for many people. So, if you want to wear a great looking piece of gold jewelry but you don’t want to, or can’t afford the real deal, this is a great alternative. It’s actually a copper medal that has real gold bonded to it, so it looks just like the real thing. It is very detailed and the image is very clear, but you can tell when you pick it up that it’s not real gold because it’s very light. Even so, it wears well and hangs nicely around the neck. It’s made in the USA, which I personally think is a plus. The medal comes packaged in a nice jewelry box and it would be great to give as a gift for a child since it’s much cheaper than actual gold, and if it goes missing it wouldn’t be quite so bad.

I was extremely impressed by the quality of this 14 karat yellow gold pendant for its price point. The pendant is relatively large, which is great as you are able to appreciate its intricate detailing. There is some weight to it, so once you attach it to a chain it won't constantly flop around and get twisted either.
The pendant hook you can use to thread a chain through it is also very thick and secure, so you don't have to worry about losing it.
